What the ELLE?

Photos from Elle.com's Street Chic section

A note to Elle's fashion victims: Wearing tutus, prom dressing circa 1980, punky styles, looking like you just rolled out of bed or just because you own a handbag with the picture of Audrey Hepburn doesn't make you CHIC; not even being photograph by ELLE. I can't imagine why Elle magazine would publish such photos in their "STREET CHIC" section, its uninspiring not to mention DISAPPOINTING. Their latest "Street Chic: Los Angeles" had been a huge improvement on their previous efforts.

No one can beat The Sartorialist. Besides his great fashion taste he is an amazing photografer !
The Elle photos you posted are really awful, and very disspointing.

I agree, the Sartorialists pictures have more contrast, more style!

The sartorialist ones are way better

Yes, The Sartorialist beats Elle any day. It's much harder than it looks to find really chic people and photograph them well.

I agree as well. Not just Elle but lots of fashion magazine websites seem to think 'oh lets have some street fashion, it'll be cheap and easy to do'. Uh, hello...WRONG!
